VediCana Chyanwanprash(VCP) follows the traditional process, if protected from moisture, can be a shelf life of 3 years. Let's explore the process which we follow and anyone can follow, those willing to spend time and good ingredients to prepare a product for health benefits.

Preparation steps and Processess.

We leave the herbs to be soaked overnight. We reduce the water to half. All the 30 herbs are aromatic and we can feel the aroma while preparing this product ourselves. Amla then soaked overnight in this decoction. Filter the decoction in a cotton cloth and let the Amla soaked in decoction overnight. As per classical preparation this is an essential step which we follow in preparation compare to high volume marketed products as this takes a day long and decreases their productivity. Hence our preparation matches classical steps and we prepare best for our consumers. After 12 hours boil the Amla soaked in decoction till it is soften and separated pulp from seeds. Now we need to make a paste of separated pulp from seeds. Paste need to be roasted with clarified butter (Sudh Deshi Cow VediCana Ghee). Amla paste put in light flame till water gets evaporated. Then we add ghee and stir continuously. Roast same until its turn dark brown. This paste, which is reduced to 1/3rd is called Amla peethi. Amla Peethi needs to be weighed to make the Mishri(Rock Sugar)syrup with the decoction which we have boiled Amla. We generally do not use Sugar. This proportion needs to be measured thoroughly. TWICE THE ROCK SUGAR BY WEIGHT AND HALF SHOULD BE DECOCTION. Hence for a 400gm Amla Peethi we need 800gm Rock Sugar and 200ml decoction. If decoction is more the same can be reduced in light flame to exact quantity. This will increase the potency of product. While preparing Mishri syrup with decoction we need to throw the whitish spume which is impurities of sugar to improve the product life. We can check thoroughly syrup base by checking between two fingers making a two-wire consistency. Then put the Amla Peethi and stir till it mixes properly. Lastly add Chyawanprash prekshap. Stir regularly and make it cool. Once cooled we use our VediCana Honey to make it more potent. We pour around 400 to 500gm honey into it and mix it unidirectionally. Don’t put honey in hot Peethi as properties get damaged and it is not the best process of making the traditional Prash.

Difference of VediCana Chyawanprash and other brands available.
