VediCana Spirulina Powder

Spiruluna is an organism that grows in both fresh and salt water is a type of cyanobacteria which is a family of single -celled microbes which often referred to as blue-green algae. Cyanobacteria produce energy via a process called photosynthesis.

A standard dose of spirulina is 1-3 grams. 1 tablespoon of spirulina which is of approximately 7gm constitutes following vitamins;

  • Protein: 4 g
  • Thiamin: 14% of the Daily Value (DV).
  • Riboflavin: 20% of the DV.
  • Niacin: 6% of the DV.
  • Copper: 47% of the DV.
  • Iron: 11% of the DV.
  • Also contains magnesium, potassium and manganese, small amount of fat, omega 3 and omega 6 approximately 1.0 to 1.5 ration. The protein available is excellent and contains all essential amino acids that our body needs. Spirulina is also incredibly high in calcium with over 26 times the calcium in milk. Spirulina has 180% more calcium than whole milk, Spirulina has 5100% more iron than spinach.

    Powerful Antioxidant: A powerful source of anti-oxidant that protects against oxidative damage. Active component found called phycocyanin which works as an antioxidant.

    Lowers Cholesterol & Triglycerides: spirulina was able to significantly improve these markers in people with metabolic syndrome and related disorders. Study says 1gm of Spirulina per day reduce triglycerides by 16.3% and decrease LDL cholesterol by 10.1%. ->Click2source
